Meet Shana Marr, CPA – Founder of My Ideal Recruiter

Shana Marr is a CPA turned recruiter with over 20 years of experience helping finance and accounting leaders build high-performing teams. She started My Ideal Recruiter to do recruiting the way it should be done: with real technical expertise and straight talk.

Shana was the first in her family to go to college and worked three jobs to pay for it. That upbringing didn’t hand her connections or advantages, but it gave her something most people can’t teach: the ability to sit across from anyone, a CFO at a Fortune 500 or a first-year accountant figuring out their next move, and see them clearly. 

Because Shana is a CPA who has spent her career in and around finance and accounting, we understand the roles we fill on a technical level. As she tells every candidate: technical skills get you the interview, but how you handle uncertainty gets you the career. That’s the lens we bring to every search, because everyone deserves to be placed in a role where they can actually win.
